JewTLA Privacy Notice
How JewTLA handles membership applications, communications choices, and contribution records.
Membership applications
Application responses, including the address you provide, are used to verify eligibility, review educator connection, administer membership, and protect the member community. JewTLA does not publish or sell its membership list. Access is limited to authorized reviewers and administrators.
Address autocomplete
If you use the address suggestions in the application, the text you type is sent to Google Maps Platform so Google can return nearby address predictions. JewTLA stores the address you submit with your private application; Google processes autocomplete requests under the Google Maps terms and Google Privacy Policy. You may enter the address manually instead of selecting a suggestion.
Text messages
Text permission is optional, separate from membership, and unchecked by default. If you opt in, JewTLA may send automated informational and organizational text messages to the number provided. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent and revocation records are retained for compliance. JewTLA will honor revocation made by any reasonable method.
Email and phone
JewTLA may contact applicants and members about their request, account, membership, events, resources, or organizational activity using the contact preferences they provide.
Contributions
Payment information is processed by Stripe and is not stored in this WordPress site. JewTLA retains contribution records needed for receipts, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Google-assisted interest sign-up
If you choose Continue with Google, Google provides your name, email address, and a unique account identifier after you consent. JewTLA stores your name and email, a one-way hash of the identifier, the sign-up source, and the date and version of your consent. We do not store your Google profile photo or a reusable Google access token. This creates an interest record only; it does not create a member account or provide private access.
We use this information to remember your progress, pre-fill a later educator application, and send JewTLA updates and invitations to apply. You may unsubscribe or request deletion at any time by contacting JewTLA.
