Frequently Asked Questions

Membership, eligibility, contributions, and how the JewTLA community works.

Who can become a JewTLA member?

Current educators, retired educators, and adult students preparing for education work may apply. JewTLA is an educator-centered membership community.

Do I need to be Jewish to apply?

No. JewTLA welcomes Jewish and pro-Israel educators who share the community’s values and professional purpose.

What happens after I apply?

The membership team privately reviews your educator connection. Approved applicants receive a secure link to create their account, affirm the Shared Values, and activate the annual membership assigned to their category.

How much does membership cost?

Morim membership for current and retired educators is $54 per year. Talmid membership for adult students preparing for education work is $18 per year. Applying is free.

Can supporters contribute without becoming members?

Yes. Parents, clergy, community members, and other supporters may make a one-time or annual contribution on the Support page. A contribution does not create educator membership.

Is JewTLA part of LAUSD or UTLA?

No. JewTLA is an independent, educator-led network and is not an official LAUSD or UTLA website.
